Nate & Veronica - The Grand Colonial La Jolla

If you are looking for an intimate reception location for 50-75 guests the Grand Colonial is a wonderful location with a lot of history. It is also where model Niki Taylor had her reception! Nate and Veronica both live in Scottsdale and Nate is the strength and conditioning coach for the Arizona Diamondbacks. They wanted a waterfront ceremony so Cuvier Park was a natural choice and then over to the GC for a fun reception. They were introduced to the theme from Monday Night Football and their 1st dance was "She's Everything" by Brad Paisly.

Frankie & Malissa - The Hilton San Diego Resort

One big happy Italian family...with over 450 guests this was one of the largest receptions I've done in a while and it was a blast! Frankie and Melissa both come from large Italian families and everybody came out for the celebration. My hat is off to Tami Austin who was the coordinator for the reception and the staff at the San Diego Hilton for an awesome job, what a smooth event.
Frankie and Malissa loved the 80's so for the introductions we used "Send Me an Angel" by Real Life and their 1st dance was "Don't Dream it's Over" by Crowded House. It looks like I'll be joining the family again next year as Malissa's sister Cici asked me to DJ her reception on August 8th!

Thank you so much for an amazing night that we will never forget! It was perfect. The music & DJ (you) could not have been better! Can's wait to see you at my sister's wedding in August!

Zach & Ali - The Rancho Bernardo Inn

I was back at the RB Inn for Ali & Zach's reception and this was a wild one. The dance floor was packed the entire night and actually ended up moving about two feet by the end of the evening. Zach was a Star Trek fan so we used the Empire Strikes Back for their introduction and the first dance was a Sinatra classic "Thought About You". We had a great team that night with Mark Hopkins taking the Photos and Jeff Roldan doing the video. The food and service was wonderful as always!

Thank you so much for being our DJ. You were absolutely wonderful, everyone had so much fun dancing the night away...even breaking the dance floor! We highly recommend you and will let everyone we know you are the best. Thanks again! Alison & Zach Ries

HMM 165 Miramar - San Diego Air & Space Museum

I had the pleasure of providing Party Donuts and the music for HMM 165's Marine Corp Birthday Ball and what an incredible group of Marines it is. They had just returned from Iraq on Monday after a deployment and were deserving of a little fun. The Marine Corp Band was amazing and it was an honor to be a part of the celebration. Needless to say a great time was had by all and they really enjoyed San Diego's finest Party Donuts!

Jeff & Elana - Desert Willow Country Club

I made a road trip to Palm Desert for Jeff & Elana's celebration and it was worth the drive...we had a blast. The ceremony was at the club and unfortunately I don't remember the Rabbi's name but he was great, one of the best I've ever heard. The newlyweds choose "Thank You" by Kaci Brown for the 1st Dance and then we kicked into a before dinner dance set that ended with a 10 minute Hora medley!

Tom & Kirsten - Loews Coronado Bay Resort

Wild times in Coronado on this night...Tom and Kirsten wanted to cut loose and really enjoy their reception and I am happy to report Mission Accomplished! It was non stop party from the first dance (You're My Best Friend by Queen) to the last song of the night. A couple of the crowd favorites were Don't Stop Believing by Journey, Brass Monkey by the Beastie Boys and Blister in the Sun by the Violent Femmes. Trese and her staff at Loews were great to work with and the photographers were Mike and Mindy Sonshine. Always a pleasure to work with and great images, take a look at their website - Mindy Sonshine Photography.

Hi there DJ Mike Hogan! I've been meaning to thank you for the card you sent with the pictures after the wedding. What a neat touch. We sure enjoyed working with you and thank you also for helping to make our wedding a party our guests will be talking about for a long time to come!!

Derek & Katherine - The Hotel Del Coronado

I was back at the Del for Derek & Katherine's Celebration and it was another awesome night. Victoria Schroeder and her team from Coronado Weddings did an amazing job with the details and it was a smooth stress free reception! I also got to work with Heather Moreau of Vallentyne Photography she's a lot of fun and gets some great images. Derek and Katherine are both Doctors with busy schedules but they were easy to work with and a good time was had by all!
October 25, 2008 - Derek & Katherine Williams - The Hotel Del Coronado
Hey Mike,
Just wanted to say thanks for a great reception! We had an awesome time and got TONS of compliments on the music (even from one of my bridesmaids who is the toughest wedding music critic ever). We've been to a lot of weddings in just the last year and had a very specific idea of what we wanted and did not want as far as music, and we walked away completely satisfied. Thanks for sticking to the do not play list also!
