An amazing event at the Grand Del Mar!

One of the most amazing new properties on the west coast is the new Grand Del Mar, it is absolutely stunning and no expense was spared in the creation of this property. They hosted an event for some of the top wedding coordinators in Southern California and I was thrilled to participate. These are photos of a little after party that took place...Kathy Wright and Company and Rrivre Works teamed up on the florals and decor, and Party Donuts added to the sweets!

Tara & Bruce - The Sheraton Hotel & Marina

Tara and Bruce chose the Catalina Room at The Sheraton Hotel and Marina and it is one of my favorites. Perfect for groups with a size of 50 - 125 and with a killer patio overlooking the marina to boot. The ceremony was in the newly remodeled garden with cocktails, dinner and plenty of dancing after that. Tara from TLS Images was the photographer and she was great to work with as always!

John & Katie - The Rancho Bernardo Inn

John and Katie wanted to have a wedding to remember and let me say the mission was accomplished, it was perfect in every way! With over 400 guests in the stunning brand new Aragon Ballroom the music had to be amazing. They decided to combine the best of both worlds...The Heroes (one of my all time favorite bands and the one I used in conjunction with a DJ at my wedding) were chosen as the band and Mike Hogan was given the emcee/DJ duties. The dance floor was packed and the energy was amazing the entire night. For sweets they had two candy stations, cupcakes and Party Donuts...the donuts were the sweet hit of the night. (Lots of cupcakes left over...)Cheryl Carlson was the coordinator and the night was smooth and stress free, Peggy Walker was on the flowers and rocked as well. Joseph Guidi and his team took care of the photography and video so I know the newlyweds will have great memories...Two thumbs up to the RB Inn on great food and service as well, 400 guests is a lot and they handled it easy!!

Lighting it up for a Carnival Theme!

USA Federal Credit Union always has there annual employee celebration in January and it makes sense...avoid the December rush! This year it was a Carnival Theme so the lighting was bright and colorful. I took it to the next level by adding four Martin 250 moving head fixtures on truss at each corner of the dance floor. Made for an amazing light show!

Hidayat & Fransisca - The Rancho Bernardo Inn

It was another perfect day at the RB Inn. Fransica and Hidayat chose to have both the ceremony and reception at the Inn and the temp was in the 70's, not bad for January. The first dance was "Endless Love" but the Luther Vandross and Maria Carey version and the sleeper hit of the night was "Moonlight Kiss" from the Serendipity soundtrack. To give away the centerpieces we did some newlywed trivia at each table and the winner got the centerpiece...the guests had a lot of fun with it!

Chaz & Megan - Rancho Palos Verdes

I made a road trip up to Rancho Palos Verdes for Chaz and Megan's reception. It was held at Chaz's Grandfathers home and as you can tell by the photo it was a pretty nice place. The ceremony had a beautiful view of the Catalina Islands in the background and I loved the song they chose for the recessional. It was "Ring of Fire" but the Social Distortion version! The putting green was turned into a dance floor and stayed full all night. The weather was amazing and the ceremony and reception were absolutely perfect...a great time was had by all!
