Mike & Shari - The US Grant Hotel

It's always a honor when someone in the wedding business asks you to be a part of their celebration and Shari was no exception. She is one of my favorite coordinators - http://www.charmedevents.com/ and I knew her wedding would be amazing...it was! Shari did the design and chose the linens, flatware etc. and LaVonne with Adoration's put together an awesome display of flowers with the most beautiful roses. Shari also wanted do have a gobo on the dance floor and we found the amazing rose in the photo above. Remember Entertainment At Large can take care of all your lighting needs! We also had the live event artist on site and the guests loved it. The first dance was choreographed and the newlyweds were as smooth as silk on the dance floor. We kicked off dancing after dinner with an 8 minute Hora and it was non-stop fun to the end!

Jonathan & Jennifer - The Prado at Balboa Park

A great couple and an awesome reception at one of my favorite venues, The Prado always does an amazing job! The dance hit of the night believe it or not was Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" and the floor was packed. Both Jon and Jen work for the Houston Astros and one of the surprises of the evening was the grooms cake designed as an Astros cap complete with black frosting. It was a great team to work with as Stacy Barba from A Day of Elegance as the coordinator, John Wolly with Aquario Studio was the photographer, Sharon Mintz from Organic Elements took care of the florals and John from NR3 got it all on video!

Iron Chef Competition at The Four Seasons Aviara!

My favorite team building activity is an Iron Chef competition and this one took place at the Four Seasons Aviara. I provided the music and commentary...we had a Tart station, roll your own Sushi and BBQ station, the teams had a blast and created some culinary masterpieces!

Grand Opening Celebration at the new San Diego Hilton Bayfront!

If you haven't stopped by to check out the new San Diego Hilton Bayfront it's worth the drive, with almost 1200 rooms it's an amazing property. It also boasts the largest ballroom in San Diego at over 34,000 square feet. I was thrilled to be included as a preferred vendor at the property and had the pleasure of providing the music for the grand opening of the main restaurant named Vella. A great waterfront view and incredible food!!

Sailing with the 3rd Fleet!

Some of the top brass from the 3rd fleet were in town for a week of training and review. They ended their stay in San Diego with an evening aboard the W.D. Evans. Not often I get to cruise the bay with three Admirals. The whole team was great to work with and they had a really good time!

Sam & Mailyn Sheldon - The Bahia Resort

Sam and Mailyn chose the Bahia Resort as the location for their celebration for a lot of different reasons. A major one was that they could get married on the beach and then only have to walk about 50 feet for the reception in the Del Mar room overlooking Mission Bay. The weather can be an issue in February but it was a perfect day to get married under the Hoopa. Around 100 friends and family joined them for the celebration and the hit of the night was an 11 minute Hora, the floor stayed full the whole time!

We just wanted to say thank you again for making our wedding night so special. You truly are a "pros pro." From the ceremony under the Hoopa to the final dance, you made the evening stress free for us.You picked all of the right music and made sure that we were on schedule for the toasts, first dances, garter toss, cake cutting, etc. We definitely would recommend you to any couple planning a wedding.

Working with a Legend!

Rita Moreno is the only female performer to have won all four of the most prestigious show business awards: the Oscar, the Emmy, the Tony and the Grammy. She has, in fact been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for this achievement and I had the thrill of working with her at the Hyatt Aventine in La Jolla. It was a benefit for Seacrest Village and a huge success. Rita put on an amazing show and I handled the music before and after, I believe about $300,000 was raised.

MPI 5K Fun Run!

Not many things I'll get up at 5 AM for but this was one. It was the first annual San Diego Chapter of Meeting Planners International 5 K Fun Run to benefit the Monarch School. They needed a little music to keep everybody motivated at that time of the day and I was happy to come out and provide the tunes. It's was an outstanding event, the weather was awesome and a great time was had by both the runners and walkers. The big winner was the Monarch School! The nicest thing about a 5 K is it finished early enough for me to go home and take a nap before my event that evening!

Thank you so much for the donation of your services at the recent "Give your Heart to Monarch 5k Run/Walk! We got tons of positive feedback and could not have done it without you. The event was a huge success with over 200 participants and $2000.00 raised for the Monarch School. We can't wait until next year!
