Patrick & Heather - Pala Mesa Resort

I love the ceremony and reception site at Pala Mesa Resort, the open air feel is hard to beat. My friend Patricia Brydon performed the ceremony and did a fantastic job as always. I highly recommend her services as an officiant. Heather and Patrick were one of my favorite couples to work with this year. They had two major priorities for the day...get married and have fun! I am happy to say the mission was accomplished. Their 1st dance was "Love Song" by the Cure and the sleeper hit of the night was "What is Love" by Haddaway. Heather had me play it in spite of Patrick's protests, they loved it!

Andrew & Celia - La Jolla Shores

This was one wild reception and an absolute blast! It was at a private home that Andrew & Celia had rented for the week and sitting right on the ocean. What a great place to celebrate. Lisa from Behind the Scenes took care of the catering, killer fish tacos and great to work with. John Woolley from Aquario Studios was the photographer and Lois Matthews handled the florals. The first dance was "Better Together" and the big hit of the night was "Cecelia", no surprise considering the brides first name. This was definitely one of the best receptions of the year!!

Jon & Cindy - The Wild Animal Park

The Wild Animal Park is an amazing place to host a ceremony and reception. They have some of the most unique event space in the U.S.A. Where else can you get married and have a live giraffe in the background? Jon and Cindy had a private show of some of the parks favorite animal ambassadors for their guests during the cocktail hour...everybody loved it. Candace and the team at the park did a wonderful job and it was really fun for me because Candace is one of my brides. She is getting married in a few months herself! Jon and Cindy had a perfect night and the guests really enjoyed the venue.

Luke & Tracy Puddy - Paradise Point Resort

Everybody travelled to this celebration and it was another great San Diego destination wedding. Luke and Tracy came in from Arizona to exchange vows at Paradise Point and then party the night away. They did an amazing choreographed first dance to "Santa Maria" by the Gotan Project and if it were "Dancing with the Stars" they would have gotten all 10's!! Greg and the Paradise Point team did a great job and I got to work with my friends John Wolly and Robert Marcos with Aquario Studio...two of the best. I get to work with the best couples and Luke and Tracy were no exception!

Doug & Becky - The Prado

I'm a little short on time so I just want to touch on some of the highlights from this reception...great couple, great guests and a great time. The first dance was "Your Song" by Elton John and the big surprise was the stage curtain opening to reveal the groom playing "What a Wonderful World" live for the F/D dance...big hit! Sleeper song of the night was "Pour Some Sugar on Me" a favorite of the bride. I wish all the best to Doug and Becky!!

Andrew & Ana - The Grand Del Mar Resort

I'm a lucky guy, I get to have fun at work! Andrew and Ana were a blast and so much fun to work with. Ana is from Brazil as were a lot of the guests so at 11 PM I broke out an 18 minute Carnival mix and the dance floor really kicked into high gear. We had all the traditional costume give a ways and that was the dance hit of the night. Paige and the Grand Del Mar staff did their usual awesome job (it is a gorgeous property) and Kelly from Mint Weddings handled the coordination. She makes it seem so easy. Entertainment At Large took care of the lighting, we did a gobo wash behind the head table...it looked perfect. The flowers were by Adorations and LaVonne and her team always do great work. Party Donuts was there for late night snacks and I got to work with Michael and Paula from Luna Photography for the first time...check out their website - http://www.lunaphoto.com/, they do some amazing work.

Christian & Sarah - The La Valencia Resort

Another destination wedding with Sarah and Christian making the road trip from Las Vegas to San Diego for the celebration. A fun couple to work with and a great reception. A three course meal was served with soup, salad and the most amazing 3/4 pound Cheeseburger you've ever seen...a La Valencia first. We also had 5 Wedding Cakes + Party Donuts! Plenty of dancing was needed to work off the calories and the floor was full. The first dance was "What a Wonderful World", current hit was "Poker Face" and the sleeper hit was "Cecelia", a family favorite. Leo and the LV crew did an outstanding job and the coordinator was Liz Beck - Liz Beck Events. She's a blast to work with and it made for a smooth night. The flowers were by Organic Elements and looked amazing as always.
